Team India pacer Jasprit Bumrah stirred speculation with a cryptic Instagram story about ‘silence,’ hinting at something significant. Bumrah shared the post after the confirmation of Hardik Pandya’s return to the Mumbai Indians (MI) for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.

Hardik Pandya was traded to the Mumbai Indians shortly after being named in the retained players list by the Gujarat Titans (GT). Mumbai traded all-rounder Cameron Green to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), freeing up ₹17.5 crore to secure Pandya’s acquisition.

Jasprit Bumrah posted a cryptic Instagram story, stating, ‘Silence is sometimes the best answer,’ which has fueled various fan theories among fans. As per reports, Hardik Pandya might take over the leadership role from Rohit Sharma in the upcoming seasons of the IPL.

Jasprit Made His IPL Debut For Mumbai Indians In 2013

Jasprit Bumrah has been associated with the franchise since the start of his IPL career in 2013. He has played a crucial role in MI’s success, contributing to four IPL title-winning campaigns in 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020. He has taken 145 wickets at an average of 23.30.

Bumrah, who missed IPL 2023 due to a back injury, was retained by the franchise ahead of the auction. Players can be traded to another team before the trade window closes on December 12, one week ahead of the IPL 2024 player auction scheduled for December 19.

Players released by Mumbai Indians: Arshad Khan, Ramandeep Singh, Hrithik Shokeen, Raghav Goyal, Jofra Archer, Tristan Stubbs, Duan Jansen, Jhye Richardson, Riley Meredith, Chris Jordan, Sandeep Warrier.
