The Indian cricket team arrived in Raipur, Chhattisgarh on Wednesday, 29 November evening ahead of their 4th T20I match against Australia. India will be playing to clinch the series at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium on December 1. The Raipur stadium has never hosted a T20 International before, and it will be interesting to see the kind of surface it offers.

India vs Australia: 3rd T20I Scorecard

The Board of Control for Cricket in India posted a video of the team’s arrival at the airport, where the unit looked in a happy mood.

The Indian team is coming off a loss in their last T20I match played at Guwahati. Despite a magnificent century from Ruturaj Gaikwad, India failed to weather the Glenn Maxwell storm in the final 5 overs of the game, which resulted in a loss in the 3rd T20I match. Australia kept the series alive with a win at the Barsapara Stadium but have a monumental task ahead of them if they wish to clinch the series.

The BCCI, on Wednesday, also announced that Rahul Dravid will continue as the head coach after agreeing to an extension in the role. It was speculated earlier that Dravid did not wish to continue as the head coach after his original tenure ended with the World Cup 2023.

The Indian T20I team, under the guidance of VVS Laxman has done well with the bat, and were looking in good place in the innings break of the 3rd T20I match. Ruturaj Gaikwad had taken the side to a massive total of 222/3 in the first innings, but India failed to defend the target and lost the match in a final-over thriller. Glenn Maxwell was named player of the match for scoring the joint-fastest T20I century by an Australian off just 47 balls.
