Feel for Rajasthan Royals fans. They were playing like royals in the first phase, winning almost 90% of their games and sitting in the top position. Then came the downfall: back-to-back defeats, playing the eliminator, and getting knocked out. They should blame themselves for… pic.twitter.com/kwqbsrGBKM

RR’s Batting Crumbles Against SRH’s Spin
Coming to the SRH vs RR IPL 2024 Qualifier 2 match, Sanju Samson won the toss and chose to bowl first. Trent Boult’s fiery opening spell initially put the Royals ahead as he took Abhishek Sharma’s wicket in the very first over. Although Rahul Tripathi’s rapid 37 off 15 balls helped Hyderabad counter-attack. However, SRH started losing wickets at regular intervals afterwards.
Heinrich Klaasen’s fifty ensured that SRH reached a respectable total of 175 in their 20 overs. RR began their chase very reservedly as they did not score many boundaries upfront, with Tom Kohler-Cadmore managing just 10 off 16 balls. Jaiswal looked promising with his 42 off 21 balls before Shahbaz Ahmed spun a web around the Royals’ batters.
Shahbaz and Abhishek Sharma took 5 wickets combined, leading to the collapse of the RR batting lineup in their chase of 176. Jurel scored 56 off 35 balls, but it wasn’t enough, as RR ended their innings at 139. SRH will now face KKR in the final on Sunday, May 26.
