World Cup final: Mohammed Shami will play big part in India’s win, says mother Anjum Ara

Star Indian pacer Mohammed Shami’s mother, Anjum Ara, said in an exclusive interview with India Today that she was proud of her son’s exemplary performances in the ongoing World Cup 2023. Shami’s mother further added that she prays to God that he continues to take wickets and plays his part in India’s win over Australia in the 2023 World Cup final.

Shami has only played six games in the competition so far, but he has taken 23 wickets and leads the wickets tally in the 2023 World Cup. The Indian pacer is coming off a seven-wicket haul against New Zealand in the semifinals, which was also the highest figure by an Indian in ODI history.
