New Delhi: The 37th season of the National Games is being held from October 26 to November 9 across 28 venues in Goa. It will feature athletes from 28 states participating in over 43 different sports disciplines in the five cities of Goa: Mapusa, Margao, Panaji, Ponda, and Vasco. 

Golf and cycling competitions will be organized in New Delhi. 

Opening Ceremony: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the event on Thursday (October 26) at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda, South Goa.

Key dignitaries at this event comprised Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur, Goa Sports Minister Govind Gaude, and Minister of State for Tourism Shripad Naik. 

Where To Watch: The National Games 2023 will be telecast live on DD Sports in India. Live Streaming and highlights can be watched on JioCinema and the YouTube channels of Prasar Bharti Sports and National Games Goa 2023.

Over 10,000 athletes from across the country will come together to compete, with 49 percent of them being women. In addition to state teams, sports teams from the Indian Armed Forces and Services will also take part in the National Games, with Services having emerged as the victors in the last four editions.
