Subsequently, Shan Masood and Shaheen Shah Afridi were appointed as the Test and T20I team captains, respectively, ushering in a new era of leadership.

In further developments, former Pakistan cricketers Umar Gul and Saeed Ajmal have assumed coaching roles for the Pakistan men’s team.
