Italian footballer Agata Isabella Centasso named Virat Kohli as her favourite cricketer. On Twitter, she was asked about the cricketer she likes the most. In reply, Centasso replied with a picture of Kohli with a ‘GOAT’ emoticon.
Kohli is amongst the most popular cricketers in the world because of the laurels he has garnered over the years. The 35-year-old recently broke Sachin Tendulkar’s record of most hundreds in ODIs.
He went past the Master Blaster in India’s World Cup 2023 semi-final against New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. After getting to his hundred, he bowed down to Tendulkar, who was seen standing up and applauding Kohli’s knock.
On his 35th birthday, Kohli equalled Sachin’s record in the match against South Africa at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata. He also broke Tendulkar’s record of most runs in a single edition of the World Cup.
Kohli also became the Player of the Tournament after he finished the mega event as the leading run-scorer. He scored a half-century in the final against Australia, but his efforts went in vain. Barring the duck that he got against England, Kohli looked at his absolute bets throughout the tournament.
Kohli did not take part in the T20I series against Australia and has been rested from the T20Is and ODIs in South Africa as well. The veteran will return when India face the Proteas in a two-match Test series.
As far as Centasso is concerned, she represents Venezia, Serie B, a second division football tournament in Italy. She dons the No.90 jersey. She enjoys a decent fan following on Instagram with nearly 71 thousand followers. From time to time, she keeps posting pictures on her social media accounts.
