Mumbai Indians (MI) are reportedly considering releasing all-rounder Cameron Green and pacer Jofra Archer ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 mini-auction. The five-time champions might be hoping to add extra funds for strategic purchases in the auction.

Cameron Green entered last year’s auction with a base price of ₹2 crore. The Mumbai Indians franchise bought him for a whopping total of ₹17.5 crore, making him the most expensive Australian player and the second-most expensive overall in the auction’s history.

The all-rounder delivered an outstanding debut season in the IPL despite changing his batting position regularly throughout the tournament. The right-handed batter amassed 452 runs in 16 matches at an impressive average of 50.22 and a strike rate of 160.28.
