Mohammed Shami set for India comeback in the middle of T20 World Cup 2024? Huge update arrives

In what has been the latest development as per the reports in News 18, India pacer Mohammed Shami has started bowling at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) after a long injury layoff. Although there’s no official confirmation about his comeback, he is right on the track and will be back in Indian colors soon.
Mohammed Shami faced discomfort in his ankle during the ICC World Cup 202a3 but he took injections and kept playing for the team. After the tournament, the fast bowler underwent surgery on his right Achilles tendon in February and is currently under rehabilitation at the NCA under the guidance of Dr. Nitin Patel (Head of Sports Science and Medicine at NCA) and Strength & Conditioning coach Rajinikanth.
Mohammed Shami’s recovery is right on the track and the fast bowler isn’t facing any discomfort while bowling. Although he isn’t bowling with the full run-up but is giving his best to return. The fast bowler reportedly has returned home for a break and will be back at NCA soon.
Mohammed Shami’s childhood coach Badruddin revealed that the pacer has started bowling and is right on the track to make India comeback soon. Speaking to News18, he explained:
“Shami has started bowling. Not with full run-up or full tilt but has started releasing the ball without any discomfort in the nets. This is a good sign because bowling activity has begun.”
