Mitchell Starc Bowls ‘Ball Of The Tournament’, KKR vs SRH IPl 2024 Final: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) got off to a dream start in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 final against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday (May 26). While SRH captain Pat Cummins won the toss and elected to bat first, they lost their opener Abhishek Sharma in the first over itself, thanks to a beauty of a delivery from Mitchell Starc.

Starc, whose bowl to Abhishek, was described by commentator Harsha Bhogle as “ball of the tournament”, got one to angle into the left-hander before getting it to swing away, enough to beat the left-hander’s shot and rattle the top of off stump. The video of Starc getting the wicket of Abhishek, the player with the highest strike rate in IPL 2024, in the first over of IPL 2024 final has gone viral on social media.
