Kolkata Knight Riders defeated the Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday to become the winners of IPL 2024 season, their first IPL win 10 years. The Shreyas Iyer-led franchise set the tone for the season from the start and continued to carry the momentum right through the finals of the tournament.

For years, Andre Russell has been the backbone of KKR batting lineup with the Carribean batter being expected to pull off his team from difficult situations. However, such was the batting prowess of KKR this year that Russell did not even get a chance to bat during run chases this year.
4) Did not take over 17 overs to chase down a total:
KKR have dominated their opponents in IPL 2024 right from the start and scale of this thrashing becomes even more clear once you realize that in all their 5 matches chasing, KKR ended the run chase in under 17 overs.
5) Scored over 60 runs in every powerplay:
The pair of Phil Salt and Sunil Narine provided some great starts to the KKR right at the start of the innings. While, Salt was replaced by Rahmanullah Gurbaz in the last two matches of the season, the domination by KKR batters in the first 6 overs still continued.
