IPL 2024 Auction: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) or the Indian Premier League (IPL) governing council  is yet to officially confirm it, but it is widely reported that a total number of 1,166 players have registered for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 auction. The mini-auction for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 is expected to take place in Dubai on December 19. Notably, this marks the first instance of an Indian Premier League (IPL) auction taking place outside India.

According to Cricbuzz, out of the 1,166 players who have registered for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 auction, 830 are Indian players, while 336 are from overseas. The player categories include 212 capped players, 909 uncapped players, and 45 Associate players.

Kedar Jadhav, Harshal Patel, Umesh Yadav and Shardul Thakur are the only four players among the 18 capped players who have opted for the maximum base price of Rs 2 crore in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 Auction.

As per ESPNCricinfo, Australian stars like Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Steve Smith, Travis Head, Sean Abbott, Josh Hazlewood, Josh Inglis are dominating the Rs 2 crore base price.

The ten franchises participating in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 auction collectively have 77 slots to fill, and among these, 30 slots are allocated for foreign players.
