But he bided his time and slammed a full toss from Nasum Ahmed into the crowd, kicking off celebrations in Pune.However there was a bit of drama. Nasum Ahmed who came to bowl in the 42nd over bowled a a flatter delivery down the legside and umpire Richard Kettleborough did not call it a wide.

The umpire shall not adjudge a delivery as being a Wide, if the striker, by moving, either causes the ball to pass wide of him/her according to rules of the game.

Meanwhile, soon after Virat Kohli reached his landmark, netizens took to social media and the ‘Umpire’ ,’Wide’ became one of the most discussed trends on X.
