On November 23, 2023, the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam is set to host an exciting cricket encounter between India and Australia as they play the first T20I of their series.

Both teams faced off each other recently in the final of the World Cup 2023. However, the squads for both teams this time around has a host of changes with very few players from the recently-concluded ICC event.

IND vs AUS, 1st T20I: Preview | Predicted XI

Much like the players involved in the contest, the weather report for this much-anticipated match has been a topic of interest for fans.

According to AccuWeather, the temperature in Visakhapatnam on the day of the match is expected to hover around 28 degrees Celsius, with humidity levels reaching approximately 63 percent. While there is a 60 percent chance of rain in the city on Thursday, the forecast suggests that the showers are likely to occur before the start of play, potentially in the morning and then again in the afternoon. Fortunately for cricket enthusiasts, the skies are anticipated to clear up during the playing hours, which should allow the match to proceed without significant interruptions.

There is a slight possibility of a delayed toss due to the weather conditions, but the entire match is not expected to be washed out. During the match hours, the stadium will experience cloudy temperatures, which could influence the game’s dynamics, particularly for bowlers and fielders.

Weather.com also predicts a slight chance of rain during the match hours and partly cloudy conditions as well.

The match is scheduled to commence at 7 PM IST, with the toss planned for 6:30 PM IST. Both teams are coming into the series with high expectations, especially after Australia’s recent triumph in the ODI World Cup. India, led by stand-in skipper Suryakumar Yadav, is looking to make a strong start against the formidable Australian team captained by Matthew Wade.
