India Playing 11 vs USA- ICC T20 World Cup 2024, Match 25

[ad_1]

India takes on the USA in match 25 of the T20 World Cup 2024 in New York on June 12, Wednesday. This is India’s third straight game in New York. This is also their first-ever international T20I match against the USA.

After back-to-back wins against Ireland and Pakistan, India would like to confirm their Super 8 spot with a win over the USA. The minnows have certainly made a statement with a win over Pakistan and are now setting their sights on India.

India defended 120 which is the lowest total they have successfully defended in men’s T20Is. The win took them to the top of the points table in Group A.

Rohit Sharma is very keen to win this T20 World Cup after the heartbreaking loss in the final. He went in with a good combination of all-rounders along with batters and had the batting depth till eight. In this match too they might end up with the same combination.

The reason India might like to stack up their batting lineup is because the pitch at the New York stadium has shown consistent variable bounce. The batters might knick one of two and in case India loses wickets early, they want to have the cushion of their batting depth to score at least 160.

The average first innings score at this venue has not even been 150 so far in this tournament and the likes of Rohit and Virat will lie to get some runs.
