India Playing 11 vs Australia – 3rd T20I, 2023

India takes on Australia in the third T20I in Guwahati on November 28. Both teams played the second game on November 26 and thus it is a quick turnaround for both teams. The Aussies are facing a must-win situation to level the series while for India, another win will give a series win against the Aussies.

The young Indian team piled up 235/4 in the second T20I with the top-order firing and Rinku Singh finishing in style. The bowlers then did their job bowling out Australia for 191 as Team India won the match by 44 runs.

Matthew Wade won the toss and opted to bat first. However, unlike the World Cup final, this time the ploy did not work out as the conditions were very different.

India is led by Suryakumar Yadav who himself did well in the first T20I. The batting lineup has performed overall as have the bowlers in the first two games.

Ruturaj Gaikwad is the vice-captain for the first three games. Shreyas Iyer will take up that role in the last two games. There are a lot of talented players in this squad for the series and now they need to translate that potential into performance. Given how the players performed in the second T20I, the management might stick with the same XI for the third T20I.
