IND vs SL: Watch – Mohammed Siraj Sledges Charith Asalanka After Bowling Fiery Bouncer
[ad_1]
Mohammed Siraj was breathing fire in the match 33 of the ICC World Cup 2023. India were all over Sri Lanka with the ball at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai after posting a gigantic total of 357 runs on the board.
Mohammed Siraj was the key architect behind that as he bowled impeccable lines and lengths and made Sri Lanka batters look clueless. The pacer was on the song in the game and his intensity was right up there as well.
Mohammed Siraj also made sure that he got under the skin of the opposition as well. His battle with Charith Asalanka was one of the main highlights. The fast bowler beat him again and again but failed to find the outside edge of the bat. It was then that he tried the short ball at the batter.
As Mohammed Siraj rushed him with the bouncer, he went to the batter and said something to him. The pacer continuously murmured something and diverted the attention of the batter. The Sri Lanka batter, however, passed on a smile.

Mohammed Siraj continued bowling great lines and lengths after that as Charith Asalanka had no answers to it. He kept sledging him before Mohammed Shami removed the batter in the next over. The left-hander went back in the hut for just 1 run off 24 balls.
IND vs SL: India bundle out Sri Lanka for 55 runs to win the game by 302 runs; Mohammed Siraj Picks three wickets
Indian bowlers were all over Sri Lankan batters in the game. They didn’t let the batters settle and put them under immense pressure. Jasprit Bumrah drew the first blood for his team as he removed Pathum Nissanka on the first ball. And after that, it was wickets galore at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Mohammed Siraj followed Jasprit Bumrah and picked three wickets in a flash. After that, Mohammed Shami oozed his class and picked five wickets. Ravindra Jadeja also bagged one wicket as India folded Sri Lanka for just 55 runs to win the game by 302 runs.
India became the first team to qualify for the semi-finals. They won 7 games on the trot. They will be next seen in action when they take on South Africa on 5th November in Kolkata.
