ENG vs PAK: “Mai kisi ki nahi sununga”

[ad_1]

Pakistan batter Fakhar Zaman opened up about the team’s new head coach, Gary Kirsten, ahead of the third T20I of the ongoing four-match T20I series against England in Cardiff on May 28. The Men in Green are currently trailing 0-1 in the T20I series against England.

This is the Pakistan National Cricket Team’s final assignment before heading to the USA for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024, starting on June 1 in the West Indies and United States. However, the Men in Green look off-color at the moment, but they will certainly look to make a comeback in Cardiff.

Fakhar Zaman shares thoughts on Gary Kirsten’s coaching style

Ahead of the third ENG vs PAK T20I in Cardiff, Zaman opened up about his meeting with Kirsten and his style of coaching. The Pakistani batter said the former World Cup-winning coach of India is a friendly coach, and the way he discusses things with the players is quite impressive.

However, the 34-year-old batter said that Kirsten joined the Pakistan team recently, so he can’t say much about his coaching style, but he talked with the players like a friend, which is really like about the head coach.

Zaman also revealed that he shared a few things about his batting with the South African great, but he won’t listen to Kirsten in terms of his batting suggestions as the T20 World Cup 2024 is just around the corner. Citing the reason behind his remark, the left-handed batter said that there is not much time left for him to adopt Kirsten’s coaching style, so he will play his own game in the tournament.

Fakhar Zaman denies making any changes to his batting

The Pakistani batter stressed that it won’t be easy to make changes to his batting in such a short span of time, so he is very clear that he is not going to listen to the team’s coach, Gary, and will continue to play the way he is currently batting and hopes to get desired results. However, Zaman expressed hopes of working with Kirsten in the future.

“World Cup kareeb hai isiliye mai kisi ki nahi sununga,” Fakhar Zaman on getting batting lessons from Gary Kirsten.

Notably, the Men in Green are placed in Group A along with arch-rivals India, co-hosts USA, Ireland, and Canada for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. Pakistan will begin their campaign on June 6 against co-hosts USA in Texas followed by the high-voltage clash against Team India on June 9.
