BCCI Announces India Women Squad For T20Is Against England & Two Test Matches

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday (1st December) announced the Women’s squad for the T20I and Test series against England and Australia. India Women will be hosting England women for three T20Is and one Test whereas Australia Women will also tour India for one Test. 

The WT20I series between India Women and England Women will begin on 6th December. The second game is slated to take place on 9th December followed by the third match to be played on 10th December. After that one-off Test will be played on 14th December followed by Australia Test on 21st December. All the games will be played in Mumbai. 

Harmanpreet Kaur will be captaining the team with Smriti Mandhana being her deputy. Apart from these two Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma and Deepti Sharma are the stars who are part of all the squads. Yastika Bhatia and Richa Ghosh are the two keepers in the team. 

Sneh Rana, Shubha Satheesh. Meghna Singh, Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Harleen Deol will only be part of the Tests against England and Australia. On the other hand, Mannat Kashyap Kanika Ahuja and Minnu Mani will only be part of the three-match T20I series against England. 

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also mentioned that they will be announcing the Women’s squad for the white-ball series against Australia later. The two teams will be locking horns with each other in the three T20Is and three ODIs, to be played from 28th December to 9th January.
