Australia beat Netherlands by 309 runs to claim the largest-ever win in World Cup history. While Australia won the toss and elected to bat first at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, they posted 399/8 in their 50 overs propelled by Glenn Maxwell and David Warner’s tons. Logan van Beek was Netherlands’ most successful bowler, taking 4 wickets for 74 runs while Aryan Dutt who finished with 1 for 59 off his seven overs was the only other wicket-taker for the Men in Orange. The result means Australia continue to be in the top four of the points table with six points from five matches and a net run rate of +1.142. On the other hand, the Dutch are at the bottom of the table with 2 points from 5 matches with a net run rate of -1.902.
