Ask Him To Retire! Twitter Slams Jos Buttler As He Bags Another Failure In ICC World Cup 2023

Fans on X reacted after England captain Jos Buttler bagged another failure in the ICC World Cup 2023. The keeper-batter was back in the hut for another low score in the ongoing match 36 of the tournament at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad against Australia.

Jos Buttler’s torrid run in the World Cup continued as he was back in the hut for just 1 run against Australia. He gave his wicket away to Adam Zampa and put pressure on his teammates in a must-win encounter for them.

Jos Buttler came down the track to take on Adam Zampa. The leg-spinner bowled a floated leg break, the ball took the thick outside half on the loft and was hit straight to long-off. The ball was easily pouched by Cameron Green and the England skipper was back in the hut.

Jos Buttler didn’t look settled at all as he looked scratchy during his 7-ball stay. His poor form has been one of the main reasons behind England having a torrid time in the tournament. The defending champions are struggling for a win and their qualification for the Champions Trophy 2025 is in jeopardy.

Jos Buttler’s scores in the tournament read: 43(42) vs NZ, 20(10) vs BAN, 9(18) vs AFG, 15(7) vs SA, 8(6) vs SL. 10(23) vs IND and 1(7) vs AUS. He has struggled to get a fifty in the tournament and has looked clueless throughout the tournament. The keeper-batter continued his poor record in India as he has managed just 189 runs in 14 innings at an average of 13.5.
