KKR not built on hierarchy: Shah Rukh Khan reveals Gambhir’s vision in heartfelt note

[ad_1]

KKR co-owner and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan penned an emotional note on social media, highlighting how the team’s IPL 2024 triumph was a reward for collaborative effort. Shah Rukh Khan took to social media, saying that the Knight Riders did not believe in hierarchy, but team effort, lauding the efforts from their support staff members and captain Shreyas Iyer. The superstar actor came up with a special note for mentor Gautam Gambhir, who was instrumental in ending KKR’s 10-year wait for the coveted IPL trophy.

Shah Rukh Khan has been celebrating KKR’s success ever since the team lifted the mega prize on Sunday, beating SunRisers in a one-sided final in Chennai. While the legendary actor was with the team at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, leading the post-match celebrations, it was the first time Shah Rukh expressed his thoughts on a public platform.

“To my boysâ€æ. my teamâ€æ. my champsâ€æ.”these blessed candles of the night” â€æ. My Starsâ€æof KKR,” Shah Rukh Khan started his heartfelt note.

“I cannot do a lot of things and you cannot do them all eitherâ€æbut together we manage most of them. That’s what @KKRiders stood for. Simply being together. Beyond the ability and guidance of @GautamGambhir, the earnestness of Chandu (Chandrakant Pandit), the love of @abhisheknayar1 & leadership of @ShreyasIyer15, the dedication of @rtendo27, Bharat Arun. @1crowey, & @Numb3z,” he added.

“This team is built on no hierarchy just pure respect for collaboration. GG said if u can’t support a single vision as a teamâ€æ.u are leading to a division in the team. Each player understood that. Young and old. The Trophy is not a testament of having the best players in the teamâ€æ.but a proof of each player being the best for the team. Boys you are all made of Star stuff!! Love you all and don’t let the dancing stop!

“Also, so happy and thankful for each and every KKR fan and I hope all around the world youngsters learn that Tough times don’t lastâ€æ.Finally Tough and Happy teams do! Korboâ€æLorboâ€æJeetboâ€æ.Always. See u all at the stadia in 2025 (sic),” Shah Rukh said.

KKR came up with one of the most dominant runs in the IPL, losing only 3 matches en route to the top step of the podium. KKR topped the table with 20 points in 14 matches despite two of their league games getting washed out due to rain. The Knight Riders hammered second-placed SunRisers in Qualifier 1 and handed them a drubbing in the big final on Sunday, May 26 in Chennai.

The Knight Riders won their third title, 10 years after Gautam Gambhir led to them to their second title. The elation in the camp was evident after KKR’s scripted history in Chennai as Shah Rukh Khan walked down to the pitch from the stands and gave a kiss on Gambhir’s forehead. He embraced head coach Chandrakant Pandit and captain Shreyas Iyer, acknowledging the efforts of the three main pillars of the team.

Shah Rukh Khan also urged the entire team to recreate Harshit Rana’s flying kiss celebration during the trophy presentation ceremony as KKR enjoyed their success in style.
