India tour of South Africa: KS Bharat set to lead India in 4-day tour game

Kona Srikar Bharat, better known as KS Bharat will be leading the India A side in the upcoming tour of South Africa. Bharat, who plays for the Royal Challengers Bangalore has been named captain for the A team, which will play two tour matches and one inter-squad match in December.

SA vs IND: T20I Squad Details

The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced the squads for all three formats and the A team on Thursday, 30 November. Bharat will be leading a 15-member squad, which will play its first tour game between 11-14 December, ahead of the Test series. Bengal opener Abhimanyu Easwaran, who has captained the India A side as well previously, will not captain this time due to fitness issues.

Promising players like Devdutt Padikkal, Pradosh Ranjan Paul, Sarfaraz Khan, Akash Deep and Sourabh Kumar have been called up for the A team, as India hopes to continue a rich line of cricketers for the national team.
