Team India pacer Arshdeep Singh posted a hilarious Instagram story with his teammates Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ravi Bishnoi after the trio were dismissed for ducks in the first T20I against Australia. Arshdeep Singh used emojis of a diamond and a duck over himself and Ruturaj Gaikwad and a gold and a duck emoji over Ravi Bishnoi.

All three players had a disappointing outing as they went back to the pavilion without disturbing the scoreboard. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Arshdeep Singh were dismissed for diamond ducks and Ravi Bishnoi had gotten out for a golden duck.

Gaikwad got run out in a terrible mix-up with his opening partner Yashasvi Jaiswal and didn’t get to face a single delivery. Ravi Bishnoi and Arshdeep Singh were run out on the fourth and fifth ball of the final over. The two players sacrificed their wickets to keep Rinku Singh on strike. Rinku Singh went on to win the match for India on the very last ball.

Batting first, Australia posted a mammoth total of 208/3 riding on the century knock by Josh Inglis. Arshdeep Singh remained wicketless and gave away 41 runs in his four overs. Ravi Bishnoi had taken the wicket of Mathew Short but was taken to the cleaners by Josh Inglis. The spinner conceded 54 runs in his 4 overs.

However, Suryakumar Yadav (80) and Ishan Kishan’s (58) blazing 112-run partnership steered India’s chase followed by a cameo from Rinku Singh (22) helped India register a victory by 2 wickets. This was India’s highest-ever run-chase in T20Is.

The Indian team has now arrived in Thiruvananthapuram for the 2nd T20I and would look to carry their winning momentum in the series.
